West Drayton Explorers 8 : New Windsor Eagles 3 |
|
New Windsor Eagles had their toughest game of the season today, 23rd November 2008. Away to West Drayton Explorers, the Eagles found themselves on the wrong side of an 8:3 score line.
One gleaming light, Jake Fearnley, managed his first hat trick of the season. And Peter Veasey was rewarded Man of the Match for his persistence in goal, keeping his chin up when all about him is going pear shaped! “They were coming at us like mad but I still tried my hardest.” recounted Charles Davey who played a defensive role and also went past 2 players, ran half the pitch before crossing the ball up to Jake to claim his hat trick, making it 5:3 and giving New Windsor fresh hope! West Drayton played a great game and we’d better get sharpened up for when next we meet! Future reports will contain 50 words from Eagle players who want their voices heard and will hopefully be reflecting on winning results. Tournament Dates Please could anyone reading this involved in mini soccer who is running a tournament in Berkshire please forward details to tournaments @ businessinberkshire.co.uk and we’ll get them posted on this micro site. |
