We have two speakers for this session, Nigel Temple and Maurice Watts. They will be speaking on the topics below.

Nigel Temple - How to use the '3 Secrets' of marketing strategy to put money into your bank account.

Small business marketing specialist, Nigel Temple will deliver a fast paced presentation on marketing strategy.
He will describe some simple ideas, which will improve your marketing results, create more awareness and
produce more sales enquiries.

Nigel is a knowledgeable and entertaining speaker /author who always packs a great deal into his presentations.
He is the founder of The Marketing Compass ( www.themarketingcompass.com), the marketing ideas group
for independent professionals and small business owners.


Maurice Watts - Customer Targeting and Profiling

This talk addresses ways of defining who businesses should target for sales and promotional approaches and how
to work out their own target profiles for the audience.

Having done that, Maurice goes on to discuss how to source and buy appropriate data and also how to use the target
profile to ensure that limited promotions budgets achieve best "bang for buck". For those interested, he can take the
meeting through a visualisation to meet their best customers.

Maurice has been in marketing for over 25 years and has gained attained a significant amount of practical knowledge along
the way. Maurice started Melville Marketing, in 1990, working with organisations who often did not have a full-time Marketing

About Ecademy of Networking (ECON)


ECON is a not for profit organisation founded over 5 years ago by Olu Odeniyi a local Maidenhead businessman after leaving Nortel Networks in 2003. Since then ECON has run regular monthly meetings with the aim of providing a supportive environment where business relationships are formed, leadership and business skills are developed.

The meetings are centred around an expert speaker on a particular business topic and one or two other planned activities which encourage sharing of information, execution of ideas, relationship building and the development of effective business strategies. Core values of the group include encouraging openness, fostering trust, creating a supportive business environment, member capability demonstration, local business influence and integrity.

Fees generated from meetings are used to reimburse speakers’ travel expenses, room hire and other operational expenses. ECON does not compete with any other networking groups but rather aims to collaborate and support them through joint and reciprocated promotions.

Whilst ECON has emerged from an online business networking group called ecademy, attendees do not need to be members of ecademy (there are additional benefits to those who are) or any other organisation – all are welcome.
