At last we have finally reached a point where we can start sending out regular email newsletters to Missing Link members and guests.
One of the biggest challenges we have had is to find a way to communicate with all the people on the database - currently there are over 2500 names - in a variety of ways. The mathematicians amongst you can work out all the permutations we have had to deal with, but at last we have a system to deal with the complexities of administering the Missing Link. At this point I would like to thank Jon Davey from LiaiseOnline who have agreed to become National Sponsors of The Missing Link and provide their systems for our use.
We plan to send out a full newsletter each month, along with weekly events emails. You will have the opportunity to unsubscribe from any or all of these when you receive them – so don’t panic about being overwhelmed with stuff from the Missing Link into your inbox.
You will also continue to receive email invitations for venues that you have attended in the past, and these will offer a number of very simple ways for you to register to attend.
Content will evolve over the next few months, but in the first instance, you will see that we have 4 main sections to the newsletter:
• Some thoughts about business life (based on the things I have come across in my travels in the past month)
• Events (to help you plan your networking for the month ahead)
• Request for help from recent meetings (to allow you to follow up, help out and perhaps gain some new business)
• Member Profiles (where we take a moment to look in more detail at one or two active members each month)
Your feedback is very important to us, so please feel free to get in touch and let us know what you think.
