Berkshire JAM – Business Networking for 2009

Jon Davey, Mary Flavelle and business partners have teamed up for 2009 to bring you a range of networking events that will follow a similar format, giving it a known rhythm to make networkers feel at home. BUT, the location of events and timings will vary in order to attract different business people, making each unique and therefore encouraging attendance.
There is no need to attend every event, simply turn up to the ones that fit in with your business life. All events will be charged at around £20 per meeting, payable online before the day, or £25 on the day to encourage early booking and simplify the admin. Any of our event titles will be preceded by the name “Berkshire JAM” , a phrase that Mary coined to describe the process of making a one minute presentation, Just a Minute (JAM), the Berkshire bit coming from BinB and being the location of our events in 2009. Our fist event of 2009 will be at Hall Place Business Solutions at the Berkshire College of Agriculture on Thursday 15th January 2009, starting at 3:45pm. The format will be: 15:45 Arrive for Networking 16:12 Welcome from Mary Flavelle 16:15 Main speaker : David Knowles-Leak on “Recession or no recession, your altitude is determined by your attitude.” Come and get tuned in for 2009! 16:30 Opportunity for Hall Place to promote their facilities and courses 16:40 Berkshire JAM (Just a Minute) – businesses talk for 1 minute about themselves 17:10 Businesses have 3 x 10 minute pre-arranged appointments – Mary Flavelle will connect on booking and establish business interests and what type of businesses you would most like to connect with. She will then make relevant recommendations on join the dots for interested parties. Late bookings will make their own connecting on the day as this is a benefit for those that make timely bookings. 17:40 Jon Davey will present this month’s Top Tips in regard to online marketing. 17:50 Mary Flavelle will bring this month’s Berkshire JAM to a close. Events will be promoted as they are arranged with the appropriate venues. Main speakers will be promoted as soon as they have been booked. If you run a meeting venue and you would like to be part of the Berkshire JAM then you need to have a Business in Berkshire micro site, starting at just £99 + VAT per year. Anyone can attend events, there is no specific membership to Berkshire JAM although we may run special events with our networking group partners from time to time.
