Three Ways to Improve Your Business Profile
Help You Local Community
Nothing will help your company more than being seen helping your local community. Regular donations to a local charity, doing volunteer work or serving on a local committee are all positive steps to making you and your company known.
Get started by choosing a local cause and contacting them to see what they need or what you could do for them. Tell them about what you do and how you could assist them, you may be just what they need. Try to make the place you work a better place to live.
Self Promoting
There's nothing wrong with self promotion. Practice self promotion by speaking and writing about your accomplishments. Add a line about something you're proud of to your email signature and to your stationery. If your accomplishment is an event or an award, send out a press release or announce it on your website. Maybe you could do a lecture for your networking group.
This will not only make other people aware of your accomplishments and expertise, but shapes their perceptions of you and your company.
Increase Your Business Success
Accomplished people are admired as others feel that success will rub off on them. Therefore, successful people draw more customers or clients, and success breeds success. But in order for this to work you have to make a deliberate effort to generate awareness of your accomplishments.
Make a list of specific goals, new skills, awards, or something new that you've created and then choose a couple of these that you are going to promote in the coming months. They may or may not be directly related to your business.
