Fast Pitch! is an online business networking website that claims to be the fastest growing community of its kind in the world. The site acts as an online network in which members can market their business and gain web visibility.
The basic premise behind Fast Pitch! seems similar to Ecademy and LinkedIn: members create their own Business Profile which is essentially a one-page website in which they make their pitch and tell the world about their business. Fast Pitch! Aim to drive buyers to your profile by matching you to the types of people you are looking to connect to. Once the profile is connected into the Fast Pitch! Network, the member can begin to build a referral network and promote their business. The site was launched just over a year ago by CEO and Founder Bill Jula, a longtime champion of online networking and advocate of speed networking. The site claims to be the number one destination for professionals wanting to market themselves on the internet and has apparently facilitated millions of connections between businesses around the world. A look through the site reveals that, for the moment at least, the membership is predominantly US-based. It is still early days of course. The company’s Mantra is "Drive Member Business" and they aim to make their site the first place members log onto in the morning to create opportunity for their business. Fast Pitch! certainly adopt a Karma-based philosophy of networking: if you give, you will receive. The idea is simple – if you invest time into Fast Pitch!, you get more exposure. There is also an area where members can post their own press releases, fastpitchpress.com, which has built a strong network of affiliates and channels to syndicate news throughout the web.
