Charles Lovibond
Mini Biography – Nov 2006
Charles Lovibond describes himself as a “parallel entrepreneur”. Not content with making one business succeed at any time, Charles is currently involved in four different ventures. He runs Sagacity Consulting which is a consultancy for small businesses where he acts in a role similar to that of a Non Executive Director – advising his clients on all aspects of business growth. He owns and runs The Missing Link, having bought it from the founder 4 years ago and 6 months ago he took on the role of Strategic Director of CIS Ltd - a small security and surveillance company - which has big ideas but lacks the knowledge and resource to achieve them (hence Charles’ involvement). He was a founder of ClickNow, a limited company that works with charities to help them raise money for free via the internet. In recent weeks, Charles has been invited to take ClickNow to the market and has assumed the role of Chief Executive of ClickNow PLC.
The secret of Charles’ success is very simple – “it’s not what you know but who you know”. Charles has spent the last 20 years, not only learning new skills and deepening his business knowledge at every opportunity but, more importantly, nourishing and building his network of contacts because, as he says, “you never know when you might need to speak to somebody again”.
