Is there life after A levels? |
|
Although it may take a few days to negotiate a path through the Ucas clearing system for university places, it is important to persevere, be patient and above all remain calm. Ucas have provided lots of information on their website for students and parents too! I’ve checked it out and they have provided sound advice. Below I’ve included a few other useful websites of interest.
For many students, this time of year is a time of joy and celebration and for others the feelings are disappointment and uncertainty. However, it may be a time for reflection too. There may be students asking, ‘Is University where I really want to be?’ Now, may be a timely opportunity to rethink career plans and investigate alternative options. As an HR professional helping young people with interviewing skills and gaining employment, I would like to offer a free coaching session to students who need help with reviewing their options. This offer is only open to the first 5 students who contact me. Email mary@fraserhr.co.uk at Fraser HR. Please write ‘Student Coaching’ in the email subject box. Useful websites for students Ucas http://www.ucas.ac.uk/ BBC www.bbc.co.uk/surgery Student Network www.yougofurther.co.uk Peter Jones (Business guru) has joined forces with A level careers specialists to produce a free results day survival pack which can be downloaded from www.notgoingtouni.co.uk/resources/view/29 |
