Mary Flavelle and The Dragon Slayer
Networking specialist Mary Flavelle has been asked to replace Dragon’s Den’s Paige Allen as guest speaker at the Women’s Enterprise Workshop on 14th November. Part of Enterprise Week 2007, the free workshop is aimed at women who are either interested in setting up their own business or have already done so. The Holiday Inn in Guildford is the chosen venue.
Owing to unforeseen circumstances, Paige Allen unfortunately had to withdraw from speaking at the Women's Enterprise Workshop. Mary Flavelle, a networking specialist and manager of Ladies Who Latte (Maidenhead branch), was delighted when organisers invited her to step in to take her place.
Mary will be facilitating the case study session, sharing insights about her career and talking about the obstacles she has faced in her business life. Mary worked for the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce during which she founded SHE Plc - a networking lunch for business women which is still going strong. She has also been an advisor, speaker, and networker for SEEDA’s Enterprise Gateway and was recently
appointed as an Ambassador for Women by SEEDA. Mary also launched the Maidenhead branch of Ladies Who Latte, a networking group aimed specifically at women.
The free workshop is ideal for :
• Women who are planning to start their own business
• Women in business who would like some advice and/or guidance
• Women who want to network with other business women
