Hi, I love your site and want to know if you can give any tips on how to develop a good one minute description.
That is do you describe a problem that you can solve and then give an example? Or do you have a preference for a particular format?
Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

To start a business, have a good idea and make sure there is a need. Write a business plan, even if it needs changing the next day, at least it gives you focus and helps with direction. There are a number of places to help with this, your bank, Business LInk or Cobweb, where you will get advice on how to write a Business Plan. You can also get more tips and advice from www.enterprisequest.com

Once you are in business you must consider networking. Building relationships with other business people is a life line to your own enterprise. We all need help to make our businesses grow and the more contacts you make the better those opportunities are for you. Chose carefully what you spend your money on, everyone will be after your business and want you to join their group, so try events out before making a decision. Mainly go with you gut instinct, you will probably have made the right choice. Networking should provide you good business contacts, mentors, business partners or associates, marketing opportuinities and promoters of your business. There is a lot of what is in it for me - make sure you are getting your share. Networking is as old as the hills, be sensible and don't expect miracles - you won't be disappointed - but you can be lucky.
