Marlow Round Table May Fayre
Hi to you all...

...and thank you if you did some praying for sunny weather today as the MarlowFM Roadshow takes it's Jukebox live to Higginsons Park for the Marlow Round Table May Fayre. As it's half term, I daresay some of you may be on your way soon to various holiday destinations, but if you've got a laptop you can still listen in to MarlowFM Online wherever you are. It's The turn of Phil Evans and myself to do the honours so Tim can have a weekend off. You'll have to bear with us as we're bound to be a little rough around the edges until we've managed to set up a few interviews in the beer tent!

If any of you do listen today it would be great to have some feedback... what time you listened and for how long would be useful and if you want to interact, you can email studio@marlowfm.co.uk or phone 07807 342253.

I'm still in a state of bliss following the Robert Plant & Alison Krauss concert on Thursday evening... I will get my act together and write up my review this evening. I have to say now that if you haven't heard the album yet, Raising sand, please go to iTunes and take a listen. Mercury prize winner for sure next year.
I've never seen so many truly accomplished musicians in one band; T-Bone Burnett alone in your backing band would be amazing, but add the talents of the rest... especially the self-taught drummer who played the whole set in a suit and tie throughout. Simply the best drummer I've ever heard.

Anyway, I can't attribute names to these folk as I've got a rubbish memory and need to refer to my notes, so wait to read the blog in the forum. talking of which, my dear, long standing old university friend, John Brotherton has posted an extremely incisive review of Joe Satriani & Paul Gilbert who were in concert in Birmingham recently. Go along and read it and take part yourself in the forum... talk about the latest twist and turns in Desperate Housewives... John Terry inconsolable after that dreadful slip... the decision to stop housing lock keepers on site at the locks where they're most needed and sell off all the properties... the fact that we can no longer afford to have a Marlow Carnival procession through the town... anything and everything can be aired on our forum, so go along and join in. It also helps with 'the stickiness' of our site (my web chap told me about this) and so our web site will get more attention by the search engine spiders and also people who search for particular subjects or key words to find interesting blogs.

Anyway, I'm supposed to be onsite now at 9.00am setting up with Phil & Tim so I'd best get a move on.

As always, Keep the buzz....

Paul.

P.S. There will be exclusive 'Keep The Buzz' T-shirts available very soon just for 'Friends of MarlowFM'. Don't all rush at once, but if you could give me your T-shirt size so I make sure I order sufficient of the correct sizes that would be useful. Only one shirt per individual supporter; if anyone else in your household want's one, or any of your friends once they spot you wearing your limited edition shirt, they'll have to register support themselves to get one.
