Enjoy the sunshine
Hello 'Friends of MarlowFM',
Hope you all managed to enjoy the sunshine over the long weekend. We took our daughters down to Longridge on Monday where they scaled the new 80' climbing wall and did the 'Leap of Faith'; you climb up a 60' telegraph pole, stand atop it on a 3' square platform and then leap from there to a trapeze dangling about 4 or 5' away. Of course they were safely harnessed in, but even so, they have more courage than I ever had at their age that's for sure. I go a bit wobbly up a step ladder!... and don't remind me about the time I went up to the top of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome!!!!! I've now placed an order for MarlowFM printed T-shirts and polo shirts which will be arriving on Friday, so we will have some to give away as prizes at Sandygates Summer Fete on Saturday and subsequent events. Tim Ashburner of MarlowFM Breakfast Show fame will be there providing the soundtrack to what should be a marvellous day if the current weather holds. I can confirm MarlowFM shirt prices now; the T-shirts are £8.00 each and printed polo shirts £12.00. I've ordered 50 T-shirts in a mixture of navy, black and white, 10 off of each size (SM, M, L, XL) but only a minimum run for now of polo shirts, and after putting staff shirts aside, there's 1off large navy, 1off large black, 1off medium navy, 1off medium black, all printed in 2 colours, blue and white, remaining. Unless any one wants to email me and stake a claim for one, they'll be available for sale on Saturday. Unfortunately, I've so far failed to get a badge manufacturer to do a sponsorship deal so I'm probably resigned to the fact that I'll have to buy them in at the best price I can get. I won't know about any deal on the car stickers until Friday, but fingers crossed. Our first new sign arrives tomorrow, however, so the MarlowFM trailer will be sporting our new branding this weekend. For all our new 'Friends' who have registered over the last few days there's a PDF with visuals of shirts etc attached. Both Tim and I have been busy the last few weeks and Tim has been out of the country more than he's been here, so I'm looking forward to catching up with him on Saturday at Sandygates. I do know that he's sorted the streaming music service out so that will be up and running very soon now and that he's 'watching' a new, bigger trailer for sale on ebay to replace our current Outside Broadcast unit. MarlowFM will also be contributing to the Hope in The Park event on Sunday 18th following our appearance the previous day on Saturday 17th at Holy Trinity Summer fete. www.marlowfm.co.uk |
