Become a local radio station presenter at MarlowFM

|
Hello 'Friends'
Well we're continuing to try and provide as many live broadcasts online as we can, including repeats of live shows in place of our computer generated random play output. If you go to MarlowFM Programme Schedule you can check out what's available to listen to every week via your PC or internet radio - we could do with everyone spreading the word whenever possible to try and push our listening figures up. I know there's a lot of competition with established radio stations let alone TV, but we won't get anyone else listening in if they don't even know about MarlowFM Online. Latest News... Dan Richardson (of Friday and Saturday evening fame last summer on MFM) along with the occasional guest DJ is going to fill the 10.00-12midnight slot each Saturday night starting very soon and we're looking to launch a Saturday teatime show 4.00-6.00pm brought to you by some of our younger enthusiasts. In addition to this will be Arts, Show Tunes and Songbook Classics, What's On, Sports, Local History, Legal Helps and Hints, Cookery and even possibly something on the Paranormal! Watch this space... If there are any supporters out there who wanted to try their hand at putting together a show, then we can now furnish you with all the info you'll need to record your own program in the comfort of your own home and supply us with an MP3 file that we can broadcast, subject to having the 'thumbs up' from our X Factor panel of experts! If you haven't already gone to www.ashburner.org/mfm/ then go along there and download the SAM Broadcast software and then study the attached notes on 'How To Make A Pre Recorded Show', kindly drawn up by fellow MFM Director, Phil Evans. He's also working on quite a comprehensive reference manual for presenters which will hopefully be available for distribution very soon. Go on... have a go. We're still 'dotting the i's and crossing the T's' as far as our FM application is concerned, so there's still time to get some more emails of support in to us if you can. We're just about into the hundreds which isn't too bad, but I did hope we might hit at least a 1,000 when we first started asking for support. We now have 160 signed up 'Friends of MarlowFM' which is terrific! If you happen to be connected with a local group, school, business or organisation, maybe you could get the chair/secretary/head/leader to send a letter or email of support for MarlowFM's aim of providing a community radio service on FM for Marlow people. Scouts, Brownies, PTA's, Churches, Clubs, Associations, Unions... if you can approach any Marlow organisation or business and ask them to lend their support to us that would be much appreciated. Any letters should be addressed to: Mr. Tim Ashburner - MD MarlowFM Limited 22 Claymoor Park Marlow Bucks SL7 3DL and any emails to: tim.ashburner @ marlowfm.co.uk or just point people in the direction of our web site. Keep The Buzz... Cheers, Paul.
