Combining Business and Rugby
London Irish and Business in Berkshire are pleased to announce the establishment of a new business club for the Thames Valley. The launch of the club will coincide with London Irish's first home match of the GUINNESS PREMIERSHIP season against Worcester Warriors on Sunday 11th September at Madejski Stadium, Reading.
With top flight rugby as the backdrop the Business Club will provide the opportunity for business people in the Thames Valley area to develop new partnerships.
Ian Taylor, Chief Executive of London Irish will be the inaugural guest speaker. He has a wealth of experience in business with a strong sport and leisure bias previously as Chief Executive at Sport Scotland, director of the GB Ice Hockey board and a director of the British Olympic Association. He is also a successful and enthusiastic sportsman having won a gold medal in hockey for Great Britain at the Seoul Olympic Games (1988).
Members will also enjoy lunch before adjourning to their seats to watch London Irish’s first home game in the GUINNESS PREMIERSHIP. Throughout the day members will be free to soak up the atmosphere and after the match will also have the opportunity to meet some of the London Irish players.
Commenting on the launch of the business club, Ian Taylor said: “I am very excited with the launch of London Irish’s Business Club and feel that this will provide a unique commercial opportunity by bringing together decision makers wishing to do business in the Thames Valley area. With some of the best facilities available, the vibrant atmosphere and top class rugby it really makes the perfect place for successful networking over a bite to eat and a pint of Guinness”.
As an introductory offer guests are welcome to come along at the price of £65 + vat (per game) for the first three games of the season. To book or find out more about the London Irish Business Club and the opportunities visit www.londonirishbusinessclub.com
