Too busy to plan 2007?
With the end of the year nearly upon us, the time is right to start thinking about opportunities and plans for 2007 – not forgetting though that we still have the rest of December to deal with. It’s all too easy to forget that December is still a real business Month, and while for some people it becomes quieter, for others it’s the busiest time!
Too busy?
If it’s too busy for you, one of the best questions to be asking yourself is “Is this the most important thing for me to be doing right now?”
You need to be honest with yourself on this one – If it’s not an activity which will bring you results, STOP. Do you know what activities you need to do to get the results you want? If you don’t, chances are you could be getting better results through planning more effectively.
Too Quiet?
If you are, or have been too quiet, now’s the time to be planning for next year. How are you going to change things so that you get more done? What are the key things for you to be doing? What skills will you need to change your outcomes? By planning and setting your own targets while you’re quieter you can make sure that you will be on the ball when you need to be.
The key is the same either way. You need to know what it is that makes you tick. What can you do differently to get better results for you?
