OFSTED
LiviNix Limited is registered with OFSTED as we provide day care for children under 8 years old. We are able to take children from 4 years old as long as they are due to start in or are in full time education. If you would like to view a copy of our certificate then please click here.
For more information on OFSTED you can visit their website: www.ofsted.gov.uk.
Ratios
We operate under the ratio’s that are set out by OFSTED. On dry-side this is 1 coach: 8 children, with a minimum of 2 staff always present. When the swimming takes place the ratios are higher being 1:2 for 5-7 year olds and 1:1 for 4 year olds.
CRB/Police Checks
All of our members of staff are required to have an enhanced CRB check with the Criminal Records Bureau. This is done when a new member of staff joins us and we re-apply for their disclosure every 3 years. You can visit the disclosure website by clicking here.
Registration Forms
Each child or young person who attends any of the activities we provide will be required to fill out a registration form. For the Holiday Club, in addition to the Registration Form, you will also be required to fill out a Swimming/Ice-Skating Consent Form and a Photography Consent Form, both of which you can opt out of if you wish. These forms can be found on our forms page. They can be viewed and downloaded.
Health and Safety
We carry out daily health and safety checks on each area we use. We record these checks and report any issues that need to be rectified. All of our members of staff are made aware of Health and Safety through staff training and external courses.
Qualifications
We are proud to say that 75% of our staff are qualified or working towards a relevant childcare qualification. We also have a number of staff with specific Sports Qualifications, First Aid and Basic Food Hygiene Certificates.
Activities
We cover a wide range of activities including: LIST OF ACTIVITIES. We are not able to cover all of the activities everyday; however we aim to offer at least 2 or 3 of these in addition to the swimming and ice-skating. This gives the children and young people a good variety of activities that promote involvement and participation activities for active time and quiet time.
Food and Drink
We do not supply food at our activity clubs so it will be necessary to send your child or young person with a good packed lunch and plenty of drinks for the time they are going to be us. We are able to provide water and squash.
Breaks
The children will have one main break for their lunch, normally as one group, depending on numbers, as well as an afternoon snack break. Breaks are taken to suit the children and not the adults.
