Introducing LiaiseOnline Limited who had over 1,000,000 visitors to their various web sites in 2008. Jonathan Davey, MD of LiaiseOnline Limited gives a timeline on the evolution of an online marketing company moving into its 10th year.
1999 - Building websites under the name JonnyD Web Design. The vision of a high street on the web is born out in images that we produced back then. 2009 will see us adding a retail solution to our range of services. HotMetal was our html editor back then - what a great product that was! 2000 - Got into Flash design. One of our best piece's of work is still up there, client prefers not to get with today's programme, they still love it! 2001 - Being a salesman I identified email marketing as the way ahead and found a solution we could resell to marketing and PR companies. 2002 – We launched Business in Berkshire to help local businesses connect and promote our email marketing business. 2003 - Took part in Internet World 2003 and with 69 square metres of space, we did it BIG with a few business pals! Over 20 BinB members joined our exhibition stand over 3 days. 2004 - Added our CMS to BinB. Offered a free space to those that completed our survey... 1500 database, 500 completed a 30 question survey!!! 2005 - Prince Charles married Camilla. We ran a story & were inundated with calls and emails which resulted in yours truly attending the wedding! A search for pictures of Charles and Camillas wedding still brings up a page that 2 days after the wedding was 3rd, while Hello were 4th! 2006 - Began charging for BinB accounts. Tried various models over two years settling on a £99 + VAT per year fee which we maintain today. If clients want us to write content, design PDFs or offer consultancy on how to make more of their space then we charge additional fees. 2007 – We identified we could FTP under own domain and therefore own brand accounts and give them an excellent SEO head start. This service evolved into Promotional Micro Sites which, when under their own url, averaged over 1000 visitors per month in 2008. 2008 – During 2008 we had over 1,000,000 visitors to our various micro sites. BinB micro sites average 92 visitors per month. Sites where we did extra work average over 600 per month and Promotional Micro Sites coming in at over 1000 visitors per month! 2009 – Our market place is new and exciting with businesses looking for value for money. We offer excellent value for money but the BinB domain may be seen as limiting for those that do business across the UK. In February Business Lead Generation will be launched taking BinB to a national audience and we will add some additional services relevant to the online market place! Stay tuned to our newsletters.
