Look...Like A Client

When was the last time you viewed your own website with a critical eye? Look at your company's public face through the eyes of a client or customer and get a brand new view of how your organisation and service appear to the outside world.

Chances are that you haven’t looked at your company’s website since the day it went live. Am I right? You could be missing a trick. Return to your own website regularly and critically to ensure that your most visible piece of marketing stays fresh and problem-free. We all know how off-putting a bad bit of formatting, spelling error or out of date piece of news can look on a website: we’re all expert Googlers. As you look at your website, ask yourself: would I hire, buy from or book with this company? If you would, then there’s a fair chance that other people will, too. Ensure that your website is keeping visitors turned on by making sure that it’s bang up to date.

How’s your home page? Is it clear, easy to read, simple to navigate? Does your opening line ‘hook’ potential customers? Keep your news section up to date and topical. Replace testimonials from time to time – it shows that you’re a lively, active company that is continually moving forward. Fresh, updated words will work for you: make sure your website reflects the type of organisation you are.
