February is shaping up to be a busy month for Nicola!
She finished off production work on two conferences for CIBSE. No sooner had she handed them over than the Director of Communications asked her to work with the President of the Institute to put together a new conference. Nicola pitched a feature idea to some specialist magazines and one came back to her, saying that they would love to take the piece. Unfortunately for Nicola, it was first-hand coverage of the World Winter Swimming Championships. So one February weekend saw Nicola making a splash in the 6*C water of Tooting Bec Lido as swimmers from 21 countries competed for the title. She now holds the title of 7th in the world (in her age category) in that well-known discipline, the short-course head-up breaststroke! She warmed up enough to meet her deadline and the piece is in the current issue of 220 Triathlon. Nicola has been working with Jon at Liaise Online, proving him with SEO-savvy web copy for Business in Berkshire members, including Focal Point, Windsor Vehicle Leasing, Amazing Dream Travel and Mansion House Securities. Phew! She also had a call from a finance company who need a copywriter to work on their web copy, marketing brochures and other projects, and from a PR company who need a freelance writer to take some extra work off their hands.
