Before they were taken over by NTL (and then Virgin!), Nicola was one of Telewest Blueyonder's trusted freelancers for years. At first she had a travel column, rounding up bizarre events across the world, but then the site manager expanded her reach, giving her weekly comment pieces on topics as broad as podcasting, internet downloads, gift buying and genealogy.
