Services
My core service areas are copywriting and journalism, marketing, and editing and proofreading. My skill lies in taking the seeds of people’s ideas and helping them blossom into their full potential.

Copywriting and journalism
Whether it’s a matter of coming up with attention-grabbing headlines or writing engaging prose, I can help. Starting from scratch or working with your own words I’ll create copy that works for you.

My copywriting experience encompasses both conceptual and editorial work. I’ve written advertisements and promotional material for print, radio and the web, as well as magazine articles, press releases and campaign documents.

Marketing
I can help create or improve your brand identity, advise on techniques to increase awareness of your business or facilitate inspirational brainstorming sessions to help bring out and nurture your own ideas.

Editing and proofreading
Do you have text that’s almost there but not quite hitting the mark? Or are poor spelling and punctuation clouding your message? Let me help craft your copy into a finely honed marketing tool.

I’m an NUJ-trained editor, fully competent in the use of British Standard proofing marks and on-screen editing. I have experience of editing text ranging from advertisements, through websites to entire books.

Complementary services
Working with other freelancers I can link you up with graphic or web designers or organise translation of your text, usually for far less than an agency would charge. I can also help arrange printing and, if you wish, handle project management on your behalf.

Corporate social responsibility
Working in conjunction with environmental consultants I offer a service to assess your organisation’s ethical performance (economic, social and environmental) and compile a corporate social responsibility (CSR) statement or report.

The resulting document can then be published on your website or distributed to shareholders and other interested parties to spread awareness of your organisation’s efforts towards sustainability and environmental and social improvement.

Proving commitment to minimising negative impact and maximising the positive, CSR statements and reports can give a real boost to the way an organisation is perceived. For this reason they’re becoming increasingly popular as marketing tools.

However, the reasoning behind investing in CSR should go deeper than that. Corporate social responsibility is more than a clever addition to the marketing mix – it’s a genuine opportunity to look at the wider impact your organisation has on the world and to improve it. And it’s just as relevant for SMEs as it is for large corporations.

Let the world know you care!
