Brand new festival to set guitar fans’ pulses racing during Manx Grand Prix 2008 JonnoPromotions presents GuitarFest 2008 - supported by the Isle of Man Arts Council and in association with the Manx Motor Cycle Club MGP - a weekend for guitar music enthusiasts, players and fans, including four top class gigs from Thursday 28 August through to Sunday 31 August and with three workshops / masterclasses by featured artists on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st August. Thursday 28th August (evening) Steve Gibbons Band – a rocking “Classic” line-up with Steve Gibbons, P. J. Wright, Roger Inniss & Brendan Day – Steve is one of Britain’s top singer/songwriters, “a master arranger, an original spontaneous rapper, an intuitive rocker” (Pete Feenstra, Soundcheck Magazine) and, of course, many time visitor to the Isle of Man! Grammy Award winning performer Albert Lee is known as “the guitarists’ guitarist” and is a legendary live act. A night of high class country/rock ‘n’ roll is guaranteed.
