Pro Tools HD Studio Refit at Jazzmouse
Jazzmouse Studios have had a complete refit throughout the summer, upgrading to the very latest Pro Tools HD recording equipment. Now fully up and running, the state-of-the-art studio is set for a busy autumn schedule of recording and production.
Pro Tools is a digital audio workstation which integrates hardware and software. Widely adopted by professionals in music production, post production, TV and film scoring, Pro Tools makes for greater scope and capacity than ever before. HD compliancy means Jazzmouse Studios can provide CD-quality (16 bit and 44.1 kHz) multitrack digital audio recording and editing on a personal computer. Pro Tools HD has become popular with analog producers making the transition to computer-based digital audio production, partly because of its increased versatility.
Paul Fawcus of Jazzmouse has plenty of projects lined up through the autumn to put the new equipment through its paces, starting with production work on the latest solo album from opera star Amanda Watsham. Amanda Watsham is currently recording her album at Jazzmouse, a reflective journey featuring opera & show classics accompanied by her husband Clive Dunstall.
Also this month, Paul is acting as musical supervisor on a new recording project for 1960s chart-topper Jackie Trent. As well as her 1965 number one “Where Are You Now” Jackie co-wrote countless hits for artists such as Petula Clark, Scott Walker, Val Doonican, Frank Sinatra, Shirley Bassey, Vikki Carr, Sammy Davis Jnr, and Dean Martin.
