Mario Lanza album nears completion
|
|||
Christian Billett has had another busy week recording more songs for his album. With just three out of the eighteen tracks left to complete all is still looking positive for the January release date. Particular favourites include stirring songs like " With a Song In My Heart " and " I'll walk with God" as well as the more intimate arrangement of "Beloved" arranged for just piano, Violin and voice. A beautiful contrast to the full orchestral arrangements. On Saturday of this week Christian will be going to visit his family in Wales and to support "The Priory Singers" who sung so beautifully on " O Holy Night" and " Serenade" on the album. They are performing Handel's Messiah with full orchestra to a sold out audience. Christian has also begun preparations for his concert with Carl Davis and the Halle orchestra in Manchester's Bridgewater Hall on 30th December. Although the repertoire is more contemporary Christian is looking forward to singing Carl Davis' arrangement of "Blow Gabriel Blow" which he recorded with world renowned bass, Willard White as well as Bernstein's "Maria" from West Side Story and Music of the Night from The Phantom of the Opera. A production Christian knows very well having starred in it some years ago. For more information about music production please contact Jazzmouse +44(0)7850973469
