Swinging Music Production

Jazzmouse Productions have been asked for a third time to edit and mix an album for Chris Dean and his Syd Lawrence Orchestra. The new album is to be called “Strictly Big Band” and features some of classic arrangements that have made the band so successful. Last year the band celebrated 40 years of touring with the highly acclaimed album “Re:Generation”.
Classic arrangements of ‘The Bells of St Marys’ and ‘Cherokee’ as well as new arrangements of ‘This could be the start of something big’ and ‘Before the parade passes by’ have been recorded. As well as the post production work, Jazzmouse were involved in the sound design for this album. This is an aspect of music production that is quite often overlooked but can make a huge difference to the end product. The full band pieces were all recorded at Phoenix Sound in Pinewood film studios and Phoenix’s James Colins took care of the recording on the day as Jazzmouse’s Paul Fawcus was busy playing in the band. The new album will be out in time for the summer and in the mean time the band can be heard in May at the following dates and theatres :- Thursday 1st 7.30 Dartford, The Orchard 01322 220000 www.dartford.gov.uk/thingstodo/orchard/orchard_main.htm Saturday 3rd 7.30 Christchurch, Regent Centre 01202 499199 http://www.regentcentre.co.uk/ Saturday17th 7.30 Edmonton, Millfield Theatre 0208 8076680 http://www.millfieldtheatre.co.uk/ Saturday 24th 7.30 Hayes, Beck Theatre 0208 5618371 http://www.becktheatre.org.uk/ Tuesday 27th7.30 Darlington, Civic Theatre 01325 486555 http://www.darlington.gov.uk/culture/arts Saturday 31st 7.30 Retford Majestic Theatre 01777 706866 http://www.majestictheatre.co.uk/
