A cup of green tea a day has been suggested in helping you keep a healthy heart.
During clinical trials the green tea was shown to widen the artery which runs from the shoulder to the elbow by 4 per cent within 30 minutes. This helps to reduce the risk of suffering from blood clots. This provides evidence that it helps improve the blood flow around the body, as suggested in the report of the European Journal of Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation. Green Tea has for centuries been known to have "health" benefits - by both the Chinese and Japanese. Though this is the first time Green Tea has shown some form of short-term beneficial effect on the large arteries.
