World Food Market 2007
Irashai Services Ltd and Alphabeta are joining together to bring a Japanese stand to the World Food Market of 2007.
Both Companies work directly with producers from Japan, specialising in food, drink, crafts and crockery. Irashai Services Ltd also provides organic textiles directly from the producer and both companies can source products.
A selection of products will be available and if you require assistance in preparing the foods, supply of products or requiring any particular product from Japan, then please feel free to enquire.
The products which will be exhibited are quite unique, especially as 3 of the Sake producers will be exhibiting the first time outside of the UK. These producers are Ginrin, Harukasumi and Fukurokuju. Samples will be available to taste during the exhibition.
Additionally various styles of Japanese Tsukemono (pickles) will be available to taste, a range of Japanese Okaki (crackers) which have no chemicals, seaweed and seafood products will also be available to sample.
Some other craft products - chopsticks, spoons, sake cups, sake servers, and serving plates will be exhibited.
All the above products are produced in Akita, which is located in Northern Japan and supported by Alphabete.
Additional first time exhibited products will be an plum infused Sake produced by a well known brewery in Japan. Tsukinoi produces an Organic Umeshu with no added sugar, so the flavour is refreshing, though has the slightly strong tart flavour.
A company in Iwate produces a range of pans called Naked Pan. The Naked Pan are literally naked - they are not covered with enamel, tefal or any coating.
They work closely with various leading chefs in Japan and recently two large restaurant chains have replaced their stainless steel teppan plates and non stick dumpling pans with cast iron replicates.
This is due to the fact that the food cooks quicker, retains the flavours of the food and the pans heat is evenly distributed. Restaurants are then able to save on cooking time, but also less gas or electricity energy when cooking, enabling the restaurant to take positive steps towards being environmentally conscious. Not forgetting recycled cast iron is used in manufacture and they are recyclable as well!
We look forward to meeting you at the World Food Market - 2007! Please feel free to sample some sake and nibble a Japanese cracker or two!
Dates of the exhibition are:
21st and 22nd November 2007 at ExCeL London. For further details, please visit World Food Market website.
