NakedPan - Tami san |
|||||||||||
The Tami-san NakedPan is an amazing pan to cook scone, cakes or anything you wish to have a hole in the middle.
From having made scones in the Tami-san NakedPan, personally I have not looked back in cooking cakes in any other tins. Following the recent visit to Oigen's factory in Japan in November, I was pleased to have received confirmation that the Company is indeed as green (even recycles left over cast iron that is then passed onto the local government who use it to partially surface the roads locally) and ethical. The true artisan skill of the workers is incredible, as is the designers and ensuring that a traditional craftsman or artisan skill is kept going. Whilst I visited, I had the opportunity to work during a open day they had at the Company and spoke with many people about the NakedPan range. It is amazing to see how the visitors were conscious of using cast iron cookware in lieu of coated cookware. At the same time many people commented that the food does indeed taste better as does the tea! I have now been using the cast iron teapot I purchased to drink green tea with and am finding that the taste is indeed different. Today I cooked an apple cake made with olive oil - no butter or milk. This cake normally takes 45mins in the oven to cook. By using the Tami-san NakedPan I reduced it down to 25mins and the cake was lovely and moist! If you would like the recipe of the Olive Oil Apple cake (free from butter and milk) then please download it below. If you wish to receive further information regarding the NakedPan range please contact Irashai Services on 01628 636082. Tami-san pan is also available from Irashai Services Online Shop.
