The Mcusta Damascus Series of kitchen knives feature a beautiful floating mist pattern that has been created by forging 32 layers of steel around a core of VG10 Supersteel.

Signature handles made of exotic materials including cocobolo wood, Chinese quince burl, DuPont corean ivory, African ebony and black pakkawood are available. Special tempering technique Much is said about HRC (hardness) of knives - hard blades can also be brittle. Yet MCUSTA use a special vacuous kiln for tempering which gives superior strength as well as hardness. The feeling of strength and rigidity is first conveyed from the moment you pick up a MCUSTA. Superior cutting edge MCUSTA have developed a special edge grind which gives a uniquely superior cutting finish. The MCUSTA knife is not a single sided blade, though it does have a slight bias to one side. This is finished with a 1mm bevel which gives you precise and accurate cuts.
