IoD Berkshire branch invite you to our black tie Charity Annual Dinner at Cliveden House with guest speaker John Sergeant
History, business & politics come together at Cliveden, not forgetting the infamous Profumo affair. An evening in stunning surroundings, with music and our guest speaker, all in aid of the good work of Samaritans.
Welcome to our Annual Dinner and a private champagne reception in The Library accompanied by music from a string quartet, followed by dinner in the Terrace dining room. After an auction and raffle in aid of Samaritans, we welcome John Sergeant, famous for the ‘Maggie Thatcher’ story on the steps of the British Embassy in Paris and as the BBC's chief political correspondent from 1992-
2000. Afterwards we retire to the Library until the small hours.
Samaritans, staffed by volunteers, provides vital support 24 hours a day to those in emotional distress.
The IoD has negotiated an exclusive rate of £335 + VAT for all members wishing to stay the night at Cliveden House. This is based on 2 people sharing a room and includes breakfast in the Terrace Dining Room and use of the Pavilion Spa on Saturday.
