Due to the popularity of our previous networking events earlier in the year, the IoD
Berkshire is pleased to invite you to a new members and networking evening meeting at Sheepdrove Organic Farm.
Sheepdrove Organic Farm is one of the largest organic farms in the UK, and is widely recognised for its innovative and experimental approach to both sustainable farming and animal husbandry.
Three years ago The Kindersley Centre was built to encourage people on to the farm to experience natural farming systems at work, all the way from pasture to plate. They have also hosted meetings and events for such companies as Waitrose, Land Rover, Vodafone, the Environment Agency, Thames Water and Microsoft.
The evening will begin with a champagne reception and we are delighted that Peter Kindersley, founder of the Dorling Kindersley publishing company and environmental campaigner has kindly agreed to give an inspiring talk about how he moved from publishing to organic farming. There will be a short tour of the farm (wellie boots not required!), followed by an organic farmhouse barbeque. Please let us know if a vegetarian or special diet is required. Cash bar with BBQ.
