Berkshire IoD offering local activites and members' support
|
The Berkshire branch is one of the liveliest in the region with a programme of events throughout the year designed to educate and entertain.
One of the main objectives for the Branch is to offer local activities that members' support and we do this by putting on a variety of events, see our list of events for details. June and July have become months for the social events. Our Sailing Regatta is on 8th June which always proves to be a great day out, we have 35 boats reserved this year! Our Henley Rowing Regatta event is being held on 1st July at Phyllis Court Club this year which has become a sought after location for corporate hospitality with it views of the finish line. Our package in the Grandstand Pavilion box will be all inclusive. Tickets have been reserved for this years Henley Music Festival on Thursday 6th July. The main concert performance on the evening will be Bryn Terfel, Welsh baritone, who has appeared in every opera house around the world worthy of the name. Dinner will be included in the package at one of the Festivals great restaurants. For further details on any of the above events please call Juliet Rushent 0118 9429608. We work closely with other organisations such as Young Enterprise across the county but we never forget that we are an organisation designed to help your business too. That means we are very open to suggestions on how IoD Berkshire can help your business succeed. We are a friendly, dynamic branch so do get in touch. We try and keep our charges to members and their guests down to a minimum by active programmes of sponsorship. With a huge band of technology firms in the Thames Valley we also get access to big names such as Microsoft to assist us with events. Berkshire events are also so popular that members from outside the county often join in - our summer sailing day on the Solent is a landmark of the IoD season as are our two Henley events. We also hold rugby and football related events at the Madejski Stadium in Reading as well as golf events elsewhere. And we are more than open to suggestions from any members. We also benefit widely from the opening of the Reading IoD hub last year - a popular venue for a variety of branch networking related events. Berkshire IoD works and cooperates widely with other business organisations in the county. Besides being involved in a lively Young Directors' programme we also make sure that our voice is heard centrally with regular submissions to the IoD Policy Unit. |
