The Thames Valley's first ever innovation festival - the iFestival – will take place this November. The iFestival will be packed with over 40 events focusing on innovation and its links to enterprise, science and technology.
It will give businesses a chance to pick-up new ideas to drive forward sustainable and successful business innovation and give inspire younger people on what it takes to be a successful innovator.
The iFestival will be launched at the 2008 Thames Valley Innovation Conference on 11 November.
Andy Carr, who is leading the iFestival project for TVEP, said:
“The Thames Valley already has a fantastic reputation for innovation and creativity. Our vision is for this area to be one of Europe’s most successful and innovative business regions and we’re doing everything we can to ensure it achieves that goal”.
The iFestival will attract and aim to assist businesses, innovators, undergraduates and younger school-age children.
“The iFestival is a great way to bring together both those who run today’s successful businesses and inspire the entrepreneurs of the future, even though today they may be students or even school pupils. “It’s about giving them the opportunity to learn from each other, to show off their ideas and their plans to like-minded people and, at the same time, the event will act as a showcase for the wonderful talents which this region has to offer.”
