Dave Savage, Managing Director from HotAV had the winning a bid for a day at Newbury Races at an auction for a The Happy Child Foundation aided by Ulrika Jonsson at Claytons Lounge in Marlow, Bucks. Ulrika, also ran a 5 mile race during the day with fitness instructor Jenny Dawes, teamed up with Clayton's on the day for a range of fundraising activities including the charity auction which raised £10,000 for victims of the Asian tsunami

Altogether the bar and Ulrika have raised more than £13,000 for the Happy Child Foundation, which was set up in Muang Mai, near Phuket, Thailand.

All final funds were passed to Ulrika at a handover ceremony on Thursday, August 25.

Marian Slator, owner of Clayton's, said: "We would like to thank everyone who helped raise the money the runners, the local businesses that donated such generous lots for the auction, and the customers that participated in the auction and raffle."

Ulrika, from Cookham, ran the race for the charity after her friend Sussi lost two young daughters to the tragedy while on holiday in the region. Sussi has now established the foundation and Ulrika will be joining her to help with volunteer efforts.

Dave said afterwards "The charity auction was a great event and I was really pleased to have a winning bid which will be donated to such a good cause."
