Regus Meetings Room Business
Regus is a worldwide group offering managed offices and meeting rooms in 700 prime locations in 330 cities, strategically located in capitals, key business destinations and emerging markets. In the UK the company currently has 89 sites with meeting rooms for hire, providing Regus with one of the largest meeting facility networks in the country. These meeting rooms currently generate revenues of around £20 million per year, expected to rise to £50 million within 2-3 years. Remarkably, meeting rooms generate more revenue than the equivalent office space.
According to Simon Hunt, Business Development Director for meeting rooms at Regus, “We are achieving our present high levels of growth by tackling a number of challenges, such as enhancing our food service and supplying world class presentation and display options.”“We owned 200 “steam powered” projectors that simply no longer provided the level of sophistication and connectivity demanded by our clients.” continued Hunt, “However, we did not want to invest large sums of money in purchasing fast changing, essentially disposable, projectors.

Then, Melissa Cooper, our Purchasing Director, discovered HotAV and we were able to re-equip our meeting rooms with no capital investment whatsoever. HotAV supply and support the latest projectors and, uniquely, charge us only for the hours that they are in use, rather than for a full day at a time, which is the norm. This makes it possible for us to charge our clients on the same basis.”
“Regus needs quick and safe supply of equipment, wherever and whenever it is required and HotAV have certainly delivered, and even exceeded, our expectations and those of our clients. HotAV also support us with daily hire of everything from flipcharts to videoconferencing from their 30 hire locations around the UK. They also take care of all maintenance needs, replace equipment when it becomes obsolete and provide theft insurance cover.”
