HotAV is Staging and Rental Company of the Year
HotAV has won the Staging and Rental Company of the Year Award at the AV Awards on 12 October at the Park Lane Hilton.
The seven independent judges from the audio-visual (a-v), hospitality and corporate sectors, said: “HotAV’s development of the ‘pay as you go’ rental idea has continued to be a strong suit in the hotels market and it has now moved that model forward into IT provision.” The judges also complimented HotAV on its ability to drive sales into new areas, its continuing innovation, strong customer focus and promotion of green features.
HotAV supplies over 550 a-v clients with projector, PA and plasma packages. It also supplies over 400 laptop and network packages per month. Customer service is monitored via a monthly questionnaire and its chat room answers enquiries and offers advice.
Dave Savage, managing director of HotAV, said: “In 2004 we won the HSBC Start-Up Stars Award for best start up business in the UK. Although that was an amazing achievement, in a way this has more value to us. Our industry peers have decided that we are the best a-v and IT hire company in the business and that means more to me, my team and our customers. It is not only the highlight of our year but the highlight of my 21 year career in the industry.”
The AV Awards recognise and promote the best a-v companies, people and projects, publicise the high-quality work that the industry does, and promote the business benefits that the industry's clients get from using a-v technology.
The Awards, which have been running for nine years, attracted 800 people to its prestigious Hilton Park Lane venue.
The judging criteria included:
- demonstrable commitment to, and pursuit of, the future development of a-v communications
- achievements that benefit a-v sector clients and users as well as the entering organisation
- proof of market development initiatives
- proof of company performance in terms of market share, turnover and/or margin increases
- proof of benefit to client, and
- evidence of technical innovation.
