HotAV - Don't be left in the dark
HotAV, the award-winning AV company, is encouraging customers to ensure they always have a spare projector lamp available. Although HotAV can deliver most lamps within 24 hours, your lamp could blow just before that crucial presentation. It's just not worth the risk, especially given HotAV's heavily discounted pricing.
Just like any light bulb you would use for another purpose, projector bulbs have an expected operating time, called lamp life. This value is expressed in hours, typically 1000 to 2000 hours. The lamp's success rate is based on a bell curve, so that a majority of (but not all) lamps will meet the lamp life hours specified. Some lamps will fail sooner and this is part of the acceptable operating range of the rating.
To help you find the right lamp for your projector HotAV has introduced a new three step system on their website. Dave Savage, managing director of HotAV, says: "Finding the correct lamp can be confusing, however with our new system customers can simply enter their projector manufacturer and model, check availability and place their order, all within a secure and easy to use purchasing system."
HotAV stocks lamps for all makes of digital projectors or rear projection TVs, with approximately 5,000 models catalogued. As the largest supplier of projector lamps in Europe HotAV will source any obscure lamps you may be looking for. HotAV also provides 30 days warranty or the manufacturer's warranty, whichever is longer.
