In what looks to be the largest absence from work for almost a generation, almost five million people will not be going to work on Thursday, 15th May.

None of them will be calling in sick though, and their bosses may even be among them by taking work home for the day on National Work from Home Day.

Focusing on the importance of smarter working practices, National Work from Home Day is encouraging companies to give their employees a day at home in an attempt to promote a healthier work-life balance by including flexible working, remote working and mobile working.
