Grow Our Own Workforce
Grow our Own
Local Jobs for local people
Meeting your workforce needs in Windsor and Maidenhead and Bracknell.
Thanks to redevelopment projects in Maidenhead and Windsor and the planned major regeneration of Bracknell town centre, employers will be creating exciting new job opportunities over the next few years. At the same time other businesses may be starting up or expanding, with their own employment needs.
Grow our Own aims to work with you as employers to help ensure that local people will be ready and equipped to fill the vacancies you may have to offer.
Grow our Own is a partnership between
Bracknell Forest Borough Council
The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead
The Learning Partnerships in both boroughs
The South East Economic Development Agency (SEEDA)
It is the first project of its kind in the country and it will work closely with employers, education providers, local and professional organisations and individual residents to
Find out about the new jobs ahead &
Locate and train Bracknell and Royal Borough residents to reach the standards employers seek.
More than 5,000 jobs are likely to be created in the Bracknell and Windsor & Maidenhead areas over the next five years.
Although the local employment rate is high, there are many people who, with the right support, advice, mentoring guidance and training, could provide you with the workforce you need right on your doorstep.
In this way, the revitalisation of our town centres will be of benefit to everyone in our communities both to you as an employer and to residents with the potential to become valuable assets to our local economy.
Grow our Own aims to:
