Bee Gee is Playin’ Alive for Windsor Festival duo
Two Windsor women organising their first business event (the Windsor Golden Egg Festival at Windsor Racecourse, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th July) have bagged Bee Gee Robin Gibb as a live headline act!
From Stayin’ Alive to playing live, the ex-Bee Gee will be the star turn of The Golden Egg outdoor weekend festival in Windsor in July. Event organisers Meera Desai and Kristin Gustavsen are proud of their headline act, but just how did they manage to book him? Not through his agent or via a series of emails, but simply by asking. The two Windsor entrepreneurs met Robin whilst networking in London and came right out with it: “Would you like to be part of the Golden Egg Festival?” Most of us would be too nervous or would assume that you can’t just ask a global star to be part of your event. Meera and Kristin proved that those who dare win. Robin said yes and, as a result, will be playing live at The Windsor Golden Egg Festival at Windsor Racecourse on Sunday 13th July 2008.
“The Golden Egg Festival will create a unique opportunity for local businesses to come together and promote their products and services at events all over the town,” say Meera and Kristin. “We are delighted to announce that Robin Gibb will be coming to play live at the racecourse on the Sunday night!”
The free Festival begins on Saturday 12th July in the Windsor Town Centre with music, entertainment, retail marquees and a carnival. On Sunday, the focus will shift to Windsor Racecourse where lucky ticket holders will enjoy the entertainment: Robin Gibb will make his exclusive performance at 6pm.
