MARTIN SALTER MP CELEBRATES PAKISTAN DAY

Martin Salter MP will be joining members of Reading’s Pakistani community for their annual celebration of Pakistan Day at the Rivermead Leisure Centre on Sunday 20th August.

Mr Salter will be addressing the Pakistani community in a speech which will concentrate on events in the Middle East, and updating them on the work he has been doing to support victims of last October’s earthquake in Pakistan and Kashmir. Mr Salter has agreed to be patron of a new charity – Reading Initiative for Pakistan Earthquake Relief (RIPER).

Martin Salter MP said:

“I have been working with the Pakistan community for well over 20 years, in my time as both a councillor in Park Ward and as the MP for Reading West. This is an important event in the community’s calendar and an opportunity for me to update my constituents on the work that I have been doing on their behalf on issues of community concern.”
