MAY CELEBRATES TRAINS CAMPAIGN SUCCESS FOR TWYFORD

First Great Western have told local MP Theresa May that they have agreed to reinstate the 0727 from Twford to London Paddington.

Richard Green at the First Group confirmed that the new 0726 was effectively a reinstatement of the 0727. He also admitted that this development was a direct result of the consultation period with local commuters and Theresa May.

Theresa May said:

‘First Great Western have had to listen to the needs of the Tywford and Maidenhead commuter. We have fiercely campaigned for the reinstatement of the 0726 and this is a real win for the local community.

‘However, there is still a long way to go; the campaign is by no means over. I will continue to press First Great western for the reinstatement of all fast and semi-fast services from Twyford and Maidenhead.’
