This is the place where you can voice your own opinions, wax lyrical and generally debate the state of politics in this country. Take issue with anything that you may have read on this site or start your own debate going.
The best post will be published on our comments page each week and will be sent out to all the Berkshire politicians in the hope that they will respond and enter into the discussion.
To kick things off, I'm asking you to think about your views on party funding.
Should political parties get more money or less money to fund their operations. What about the current cash for honours scandle that is blighting the Labour Party at the moment? Would you like to see more political leaflets dropped through your doorway during the campaign season or are you sick of all the paper?
No matter what aspect of party funding you want to mouth off about, you can do it right here on this page.
If there's something else that's bugging you, then please feel free to voice your concerns here. The above is only meant to work as a guide to get those grey cells ticking.
Hi
I have had a Quick look at your web site I cannot find any original comment
from your viewers. Have you just set it up.
My MP is Martin Linton and he is completely useless and I would like to
challenge him to reply to my allegation's of corruption against him
would you help me to get the ball rolling
No problem at all helping you out. I can't promise anything but we can see what we can do. Send me an email to milesamoore@businessinberkshire.co.uk, listing the allegations you would like to make against your MP. I will have a look over it and get in contact with the MP.
That's the first step. Depending on how he replies, there are a number of different routes we can take from there.
You might also like to mouth off about your MP on this site. It would then act as more of an incentive for him to reply to you and I.
It would be best to post your reply on our new site (looks exactly like this one but due to a few technicalities involving domain name etc, we have moved. This site will soon be devoted purely to the general election). The news site can be found at http://www.businessinberkshire.co.uk/politicaleditor/
We have only just introduced the Have Your Say section. That is why there are no new posts on the site.
Like I say, send me all the info you have on your MP and we can get things started. If you have any additional queries, please feel free to email me or post up your thoughts on the new site.
