FSB Attracting New Members at B2B Thames Valley Stand 13
The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) are all set to attract more members at this year’s B2B Thames Valley event on 26th & 27th September.

Regional Organiser Karen Durcan told Business in Berkshire: “The B2B Thames Valley event gives us an ideal opportunity to promote the services of FSB – particularly to new start-up businesses. It also means we get the chance to meet and talk with many of our existing members too.”

As well as the aim of attracting new members, the FSB will be focusing heavily on the amount of lobbying they perform on behalf of their members. As Karen explains: “The FSB have achieved some excellent results through our intense lobbying concerning all areas of small business.” Indeed, in a recent survey of MPs, the FSB were voted the most influential lobbying group.

The FSB is the UK’s largest member-led organisation supporting the needs of small businesses. Formed in 1974, the FSB now has over 190,000 members throughout the UK, of which more than 6,000 are from the Thames Valley. As well as the impressive lobbying record, FSB members enjoy a wide range of benefits which include free 24 hour legal advice, legal protection insurance, finance, telecom solutions, seminars, and local networking events.

Non-profit making and non-political, the FSB is widely recognised as the independent voice of small and medium-sized business in the UK.

The East Berkshire branch is run by a committee of volunteers who work together to support members with any issues that affect their business. To find out more about the FSB and it’s services, take a look at www.fsb.org.uk/103 or call 0118 945 6848. Alternatively, just pay a visit to stand 13 at B2B Thames Valley.
