The largest UK business support organisation just got bigger!

When East Berkshire Federation of Small Businesses asked Mary Flavelle to join the committee they were not prepared for the whirlwind that was going to shake things up! The result was that the East Berkshire branch has the highest percentage increase in new members in the Thames Valley Region, over 2x the UK average growth.

Mary Flavelle was known to the existing committee through her hard work with the chamber and Business Link. When she left to pursue her own business activities it was only natural that we should ask her if she would like to get involved with the FSB.

Mary has run a variety of events this year and each has had an excellent response from local FSB members and non members invited through Business in Berkshire. A recent meeting of the FSB had nearly 80 business people in attendance, all wanting to know more about the services on offer but also about each other, to see how they could trade and grow their relative businesses.

With this year’s programme coming to an end and the new committee being elected in October, it is hoped that Mary will take the helm, taking us into 2009. Bringing her unique, straightforward, fun- loving style of business leadership to an already great UK business support organisation and make it even GREATER!

You can see Mary in action, every month, at the Keller Breakfast. She enables 50+ business men and women to talk for 1 minute about their businesses and woe betide those who try and stretch it to 2! Find out more at www.maryflavelle.com
