Why should you join the FSB?

Why you should join the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB)?

This article looks in more detail at the some of the main reasons under the umbrella of Peace of Mind for joining the FSB.

You receive qualified legal assistance when you want, without leaving the work place, on most legal issues both business and personal. This is provided 24/7 throughout the year with an emergency lawyer on call outside normal working hours.

If you have Internet access there’s a repository of legal information on employment, business and tax matters readily available along with new employee tips.

Practical, experienced support and advice is received when you come under investigation by either Revenue or Customs or both. The average length of an investigation is running at 18 months and you need to pay the liability or prove that HMRC are wrong in their assessment.

When your business has employees there is always a risk of employee problems or tribunal hearings to dilute your energy and bank account at the bottom line. Once again the FSB provides support and advice, which when followed, allows member protection for legal representation and tribunal awards.

Qualified nursing support for unexpected long term illness is available to provide much needed advice to pre and post operations or medical consultations. Courses of speech therapy, physiotherapy or nursing visits are organised to help family, relatives and the member get through the difficult times.

All of the above is ‘free’ within the annual subscription of the FSB without limits on the number of times the benefits are used and therefore provide peace of mind to get on with running your business. Tangible cost savings of £150 per hour for legal support and £90 per hour for expert accountant assistance can also be achieved to go with the Peace of Mind.
