Summer 2007 – A NEW SEASON BEGINS

The summer season has seen a lot of activity at Focal point. One of the founders, Barry Browning, has hung up his boots to persue other career and personal interests. We all wish Barry the very best in whatever he does.
Focal Point have been busy in the transfer market and have been able to pick up some quality free transfers to help strengthen the team. In comes Keith Levy to help the forward line. Keith has a great deal of agency experience and most recently has been dealing extensively in Taxi Advertising. Richard said he is looking forward to Keith adding valuable support and experience to the team. To strengthen the midfield Sharon Tomkins, Brian Smith and Owen Hughes come in and will offer a great link between the forward line and the defence which is the engine room of the team. Sharon will be the creative element in midfield and will bring a great deal of flair with her. Brian, one of the founders of Air Miles and a marketing expert is at the tail end of his career but will bring stability and experience to us. Owen, also a marketer brings a youthful exuberance to the mix and can offer similar skill sets to Brian. Finally we have added another defender to the team to help support Sarah and Jane. Denise brings a lot of experience and has been known to Richard for nearly 30 years. He has watched her career closely, in fact he has been married to her since 1981. A hard worker, Denise will be another friendly voice at the end of the phone, and a great addition to the squad. Richard said ‘I am so excited about the future of Focal Point and with recent additions to the team, I firmly believe we are capable of fighting for honours amongst the premiership elite.
