Virtual Administration
No one went into business to do admin, but when you are running a small business employing an assistant may not be possible. But what is admin? This varies depending on the business.
Is it:
Correspondence
Paperwork
Data Entry
Dairy Mgt/Travel Booking
Book Keeping/Order Processing
This is a very traditional view, now can also include:

Admin changes with each development in the business world and with the emergence of technology everything that is supposed to make our lives simpler just seems to add to the number of things we have to do.
Like the combustion engine before it the computer has revolutionised and streamlined the way we work, doing away with teams of clerks and replacing them with a s/s
The problem is that we may have the tools but not necessarily the skills. We have done away with the combined knowledge of all those secretaries and clerks and the support they gave to the business.
This of course brings opportunities you can now run a successful shop without getting out of bed or a well respected consultancy businesses from your car.
Administrators have changed to, with the new technology we can now work virtually. But no longer are just typing speed and a good telephone manner the only requirements we now need to be advanced computer users with a good understanding of databases, the internet, excel etc etc.
If you need help, ask, admin used to be a whole department, there are specific qualifications. You went into business because of your skills not because you wanted to sit in a bowl of custard!
