Ecademy T&P Wave Social Networking Study
I have just done a brief Ecademy "T&P Wave" Social Networking Media Study as I was interested to see who comments on what in a social networking environment as we start to build our new social business network
Business Leads UK. I have posted a blog on Ecademy to gather feedback, here is the text in full... if you are an Ecademy member please add your feedback. Forget Google Wave, check out the T&P Wave The blog zone is currently the space I am spending any of my Ecademy time. I’m attracted to it because its real time engagement, I’m not waiting 3 days to see a reply in a club! In fact, after a recent battle with our great leaders I gave up all my club memberships and was ready to leave… but I’m liking the blogs! Last month I had a clash of the titans about the safe networking process… I don’t see why I need to ask to be ticked… Ecademy should show me the respect and tick it for me if they want to… but that’s another story… what was interesting was how a number of people joined in to protect William and Thomas. People often comment in the cliqueness of blogs, how the Black Stars (BS) fly in to tick mode for their fellow BS members! So, following on from Zara’s excellent blog yesterday, I thought I’d do a spot of my own research… if you want professional data analysis you should talk to David Willis… in the meantime here’s my amateur assessment. I took the top 3 blogs for the last week and this is what I found:
As I see it: Because this is Thomas and Penny’s world, if they post something then other members are more likely to join in, especially BS keen to be associated with the bosses. Balancing this, FREE members are likely to join in the comments when Thomas or Penny lead the way. Black Stars tend to support their fellow BS Members by liking stories rather than commenting, unless it’s a leading BS when they join in with comments. FREE Members don’t join in very often but when they do they join in on mass. Probably encouraged by the lack of BS comment. I also noticed the FREE member hot blogs were finance based. So are all these FREE chaps accountants, saving a bob or two!! Most of the top blogs contained multiple comments by the person starting it … some over 3 to 1 !!! Given that T&P have the keys and can press a single button and send a million emails to the world saying look what we have just said about X then I would suggest that if you have a hot blog, wait for the T&P wave… jump on your surf board and catch that wave when they are at the beach! Outside of that, the BEST blogs are the one’s where more FREE members join in, where the poster keeps stum and listens (2 ears, one mouth) … Members of Ecademy can comment on this blog here… |
