50% of small UK businesses waste more than 24 working days a year
A survey carried out by British Telecom has revealed that a staggering 50% of small businesses waste more than 24 working days a year on tasks such as finance, IT and HR.
This is due to tough government regulations and legislation giving the decision makers of more than half of small businesses cause for concern. 10% of these businesses are only able to run their business for two thirds of the year due to a day and a half a week being taken up by administration work.
BT says that they can help SMEs to free up some of their time allowing them to then focus on core business matters.
Managing director of BT Business, Bill Murphy, stated: “We can’t do anything about tax, but what we can do is help smaller companies reduce the time they spend on their IT and communications and, in turn, help control costs”.
